Update 4 November:
We presented a report on the Family Services Review to Newcastle City Council’s Cabinet on 22 October 2014. At that meeting, we recommended the implementation of a post-consultation model for the “Wellbeing Care and Learning Early Help and Supporting Families Offer”, based on feedback received during the recent consultation process.
Cabinet accepted the recommendation and we are now in the position to start the next phase of the process.
We are holding feedback sessions in November which will:
- provide feedback on how the consultation process informed the post-consultation model that was approved by Cabinet
- provide an overview of the Post Consultation Model
- set out the timeline for the next stage of the consultation process
We are using the same booking system as we did for the locality consultation events in September.
To book a place at one of the sessions, go to our booking website: www.newcastlefamilyservicesreview.eventbrite.co.uk
Here you will find the dates and venues for the feedback sessions, and you can book your place. The events will have a crèche facility available and parents are asked to ring on the number below to book crèche places 2 working days in advance of the preferred session.
If you don’t have access to the internet, or you don’t have an email address, you can book a place using our recorded helpline, leave us a message telling us:
• Your name
• Contact phone number (in case we need to get in touch with you)
• Which event you want to attend
• Whether or not you need a place in the crèche
Events are being held on:
• 17 November, 1.30 to 2.30, The Beacon Centre, West Road
• 21 November, 1.30 to 2.30, Ouseburn Community Centre, Mowbray Street

Additional sessions are being organised locally to feedback to young people and parents who are unable to attend the above events and who participated in the recent consultation.
