The Local Government Boundary Commission for England are carrying out an electoral review in Newcastle. They have recommended that we continue to have 78 councillors and are now seeking views about what the pattern of electoral wards should be in the city. Their consultation runs until 4 April 2016. You can see more information on their website.
To support this work, we have developed a draft proposal which we're keen to hear the views of local people about before we submit it to the Commission.
You can see the draft proposal on the map below and read the document which outlines how we have developed this and provides more detail about the boundaries for each of the proposed wards.
If you would like to have your say, including what you think they should be called, please complete a survey relating to each proposed ward you would like to comment on.

Each of the surveys include a more detailed map of the individual proposed wards.
Consultation on our proposals will end on Monday 29 February. We will then consider all of the feedback we receive and refine the proposal before we publish them to the Commisison. The updated proposal will be available in March.
