In a climate of austerity, what can we do to make Newcastle a city, where people can feel, with justification, that fair decisions are being made?
Back in 2011, this question led Newcastle City Council to set up the Newcastle Fairness Commission. The Commission - a group of individuals with a variety of experiences, from within Newcastle and beyond - set out to define some principles of fairness to improve decision-making and guide the work of the council and other organisations in the city.

In 2016 the Fairness Commission is coming together again and you are invited to join the conversation. We want to know if Newcastle has become a fairer city and if there is more to be done by organisations across Newcastle to create a fair city for its citizens.
