Following the boundary review and the creation of new wards in Newcastle, we are reviewing the boundaries of the polling districts within these wards. This means that some polling stations in local neighbourhoods might move from their current locations. These changes to polling districts and polling places (stations) will be implemented from the Local Elections in May 2018. You can find out more in this video:
We would like you to comment on the proposed boundaries of polling districts and locations of polling stations within your local neighbourhood by taking a short online survey. In particular, we want to find out if people think the polling stations will be easy to get to (by car, on foot, cycling or public transport), whether parking might be an issue for people who need this, what it is like to get inside the buildings, and how easy it is to get around inside them. Here is a map showing the location of the new wards within the Newcastle area:
Please give us your views on these proposals using these short online surveys (below) before 6 October 2017. You can also attend an event and give us your views in person. If you would like this information in a different format, such as large print, or you have any questions about this consultation, please email us at: letstalk@newcastle.gov.uk. Please look at the list of surveys below and click on the link for the survey for your ward.
The findings from the consultation will be published on our website: Newcastle City Council. Thank you for taking the time to give us your views.
