Newcastle Waste Strategy Consultation 2018 - This consultation has now ended

In June 2018 we want to gather the views of residents, businesses and stakeholders on our proposed vision and ambitions for how we manage waste in Newcastle. We would be grateful if you could take the time to answer these questions to give us your views on the vision, ambitions, principles and objectives of the draft Newcastle City Council Waste Strategy. Here's some information about it:

Please read the Waste Strategy Supporting Information before answering these questions: Waste Strategy Supporting Information. You may also find it useful to read the Newcastle Waste Commission report, which is online here: Wise on Waste
Following this, in August 2018 we will once again ask people about how we manage waste. The focus in September will be on possible options and actions for delivering the outcomes once these have been agreed. The final Waste Strategy will be developed following this, so that recommendations can be made to the City Council Cabinet Member for the Environment, and then to full Cabinet so that the strategy can be approved and adopted by the Council.
After this, we will carry out an evidence-based analysis of our services so that we can developed a detailed delivery plan for any changes proposed in the strategy to manage and meet expected demand for waste management across Newcastle. We will let you know what happens with our Waste Strategy on our website: www.newcastle.gov.uk.
You can contact us at this email address if you have any questions about this consultation, or if you need this information in a different format, such as large print: letstalk@newcastle.gov.uk. The closing date for responses is 28 June 2018. Thank you for taking the time to give us your views.
