The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has launched the next round of consultation on Newcastle's 'warding patterns' - new wards for Newcastle upon Tyne. - 16 January 2024: We decide how many councillors there should be
- 23 January- 1 April 2024: We carry out an initial public consultation on communities
- 9 July - 16 September 2024: We carry out a public consultation on our proposals
- 7 January 2025: We publish our recommendations
- TBD We ask Parliament to approve our recommendations
- 2026 New arrangements apply to local elections."
