We are determined to make improvements to traffic conditions and road safety in Gosforth. In the past we’ve asked you what changes you wanted to see, and we used these survey results to draw up plans for improvements in the Gosforth area.
Key feedback included the provision of routes for less experienced cyclists, changes to routes in and around the high street, as well as a focus on healthier, cheaper and safer means of transport.
Using all this information, we have put together a proposal for traffic improvements in Gosforth. The scheme will stretch from the Broadway roundabout to the start of the Town Moor, with a quieter cycle route running from Christon Road to the Town Moor via Moor Road North and South. We think the scheme will bring benefits for everyone, especially those who walk, cycle or use public transport.
