The council has produced a Market Position Statement for Mental Health in Newcastle. This document doesn’t deal with the causes of mental health nor the impact of social isolation or housing on Newcastle’s population. It is instead aimed at the provision of services for those with complex fluctuating support needs and/or challenging behaviour. The focus of these services will be to help people live independently with the best quality of life open to them. We want to use this document to show organisations and the people who use services in Newcastle what is currently on offer in the city, and also what the Council thinks services might look like in the future. We want views from people who might provide Mental Health services and those who might use Mental Health services and their carers to tell us about the types of services they would want to see being provided in Newcastle
