We have published our draft 2012 budget proposals (pdf, 1.67mb) for consultation. The budget proposals should be read in conjunction with ‘a fair budget for a fairer city’ which provides more information on the financial context facing the council, and the evidence base and policy choices which have informed these proposals.
- A fair budget for a fairer city (pdf, 4.36mb)
- Our budget at a glance (pdf, 80.4kb)
- Medium term financial plan (pdf, 1.90mb)
- Assessing the impact of the budget proposals (pdf, 2.56mb)
- Newcastle Future Needs Assessment (pdf, 1.61mb)
- Let's talk Newcastle - Executive Summary (pdf, 1.65mb)
- Let's talk Newcastle - Full report (pdf, 3.27mb)
We want to hear from anyone who wishes to comment, in particular those who feel they might be directly affected by the proposals. It is very important that the council fully understands the impact that budget cuts could have on individuals and communities across the city. The council has carried out full Equality Impact and Needs Assessments (EINA) on every proposal to try to identify the potential impact of proposals, view a list of all the EINAs here.
